Soccercorner.org - Louis van Gaal admitted he was considering bringing a new striker to overcome problems in the club's attack, although it is not the only solution he has.

After removing Javier Hernandez and Robin van Persie in the summer, Van Gaal's side so far amid trouble scoring.

But the manager believes Anthony Martial and Wayne Rooney can achieve success, despite only scoring six goals in the Premier League this season.

"I think we also need a striker that is shaded by luck. There are some players who can play in the striker position, they need luck. How many players have a chance and why they did not score a goal? You can not continue to have an explanation for it," explains Van Gaal on Goal International.

"We are always looking for solutions to the team, but we're still a good team, and we still have a good team, and we were still able to score goals. I believe, though we also need luck.

"This problem can be solved by money, but also with practice. We can continue to practice, but scoring goals is a matter of quality. If there is no confidence among the players, then it's time to buy new players."
