Soccercorner.org - Finally Josep Maria Bartomeu was elected as the new Barcelona president in the election of a new president of Barcelona in 2015.

Bartomeu become the leader after beating several competitors in order to gain as many votes as 54.63% (25.823). Laporta was runner-up with 33.03% of votes (15.615), followed by Agusti Benedito 7.16% (3,386) and Toni Freixa 3.70% (1,750) sound.

With 47.720 votes counted, the elections have had the third highest turn out in FC Barcelona history. Only in 2010 with 57.088 votes and 2003 with 51.618 have been greater.

During its 115 history, the Club has had a total of 46 presidents, Including the Managing Commissions that have had control. Walter Wild was the first in 1899 and Josep Maria Bartomeu will be the next Barcelona President until 2021.
