Soccercorner.org - Ricardo Rodriguez has recently been linked with Real Madrid. However, the 22 year-old Swiss left-back was confirmed when he was still at home at VfL Wolfsburg.
Madrid reportedly intends to remove Fabio Coentrao and look for a better replacement. One of the coveted Madrid is Rodriguez.
"I am pleased to hear the news, but I was a Wolfsburg player," said Rodriguez was quoted as saying by Marca.
"It's an interesting idea, but it's all just rumors," he concluded.
Rodriguez recruited Wolfsburg from FC Zurich in the year 2012 amounting to € 8.5 million. Last season, Rodriguez mengemas10 goals and 5 assists in 39 appearances for Wolfsburg in all competitions.
Rodriguez is still under contract at Wolfsburg until June 30, 2019. The price is now estimated to have touched the figure of € 28 million.
